Director of Recreation, Health & Safety and Volunteers

Responsibilities: Managing social, recreational, spiritual, restorative and physical therapy services.
Ensuring that all employees and volunteers are trained and adhere to the policies and procedures of the home.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Kinesiology or another related field.
  • Minimum 3 year experience in geriatric setting.
  • Demonstrated management skills and experience in orientation, placement and supervision of staff, students and volunteers.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with knowledge and proficiency in computer software.
